Jarná rímsa s nízkym rozpočtom / Spring Mantel on a budget

Tak trošku zavádzam, lebo to nie je jarná dekorácia na krbovej rímse ale dekorácia na komode. Ale pekne to znie :) ... začnem radšej pekne od začiatku. V jeden víkend, boli tak ako inokedy dievčatá pekne rozbláznené. Naše postele v spálni vždy dobre poslúžia ako trampolína, tak tomu bolo aj v ten osudný víkend. Keď boli v najlepšom, neviem ktorú napadlo, skákať po detskej postielke a podarilo sa im zlomiť rošt. Nedalo sa nič robiť, len postielku rozmontovať. 

Malá havária, bola skvelou zámienkou na úplné zrušenie detskej postielky a presun menšieho dietka do detskej izby, do veľkej postele. Síce každý večer je to boj s uložením k spánku, ale konečne máme priestor (priestorček) z izbe. Aby dievčatá mali tiež trochu zmenu, presunuli sme komodu z ich izby do našej spálne (takéto zmeny mám veľmi rada). O dôvod viac na realizovanie mojich nápadov. Tak vznikla jarná "rímsa". 

I little mislead you, because it is not spring decoration on mantel but on dresser. But it sounds nice :) ... I rather start from the very beginning. In one weekend, as well as other time were girls freaking out. Our bed in the bedroom always well serve as a trampoline, so it was in that fateful weekend. When they were in the best, I do not know whom idea it was, they started jumping on a baby bed and managed to break the grid. There was nothing to do, just disassemble the bed.

Small accident was a great excuse to cancel baby bed and move smaller kiddo into the child's room in a large bed. Every night we struggle to put girls to sleep, but finally we have a space (small space) in our bedroom. Even to make some changes in girl's room, we moved the dresser from their room to our bedroom (I like such changes). Another reason to implement my ideas. This is how the spring "mantel" was created.

Všetko čo som na komodu "nastrkala", som pozbierala doma. Tabuľu na písanie som našla minulý rok vyhodenú, chýba jej spodná lišta (takže ma čaká prelištovanie). Pôvodne to bola reklamná tabula z nejakého pubu. Starý nápis s logom piva som prebrúsila a natrela tabuľovou farbou. Asi týžden bola bez môjho nápisu, potom mi to nedalo a jarný nápis som urobila (nie je sa čím chváliť, písanie nič moc.) Keď budem fit, chystám sa na nejakú šablónu a transfer na tabuľu. Zatiaľ mi musí stačiť táto čmáranica :)

Everything what I put on a dresser I gathered up at home. I found this chalkboard year wasted, missing its bottom frame (so on to do list is re-frame it). Originally it was a billboard for some pub. I sand the old beer sign and gave it one layer of chalkboard paint. I bear one week without my touch, then I could not resist and I made a spring sing on it  (I am not very pride to myself, I am not good handwriter at all).  When I get healthy I make some template and transfer to the board. Meantime I have to live with this scrawling :)

Biely rámik možno niektoré spoznávate, mám ho z KIK, kúpený dávno. Staré knihy sa iba zdajú staré. Kvetináč som premiestnila z obývačky a malé hniezdočko, o ktoré bola jarná giveaway minulý rok sedí na svietniku z alpaky, ten je z bazáru. Vianočný darček, ktorým som si urobila radosť sú hodiny z obľúbeného a dobre známeho obchodu.

Some of you maybe recognize a white frame, I got him from KIK, bought long time ago. Old books only seem old. Flowerpot was moved from the living room and a small nest, piece form last year spring giveaway sitting on the candlestick made of alpaca, trift-store finding. Christmas gift, an alarm clock that I gave to myself I bought from popular and well-known shop.

Tento týždeň čakám nejaké zásielky s kreatívnymi potrebami, jedna vec do nášho bývania a niečo na skrášlenie interiéru. Už sa teším.

This week I expect some mails with creative stuff, one thing for our living and something to beautify the interior. I'm looking forward.

Čakám na jar / Waiting for spring

Počas voľného víkendu (už si len matne spomínam, aký bol) som urobila zábery obývacej izby. Teraz je obývačka samé lego, bábiky, detská kuchynka, plastelína, kreslenie, ... hračky sú úplne všade. Ani najbližšie dni to nevyzerá na zmenu. Pre vysokú chorobnosť na týždeň zatvorili škôlku a potom máme týžden jarných prázdnin.

During the free weekend (I vaguely remember what it was) I took some pictures of our living room. Now the living room is full of lego, dolls, children's kitchen, play dough, drawing, ... toys are everywhere. Even the next day it does not seem to change. Kindergarden is closed for a week due to high sickness and then we have a week spring break.

Nedočkavo čakám na príchod jari, vonku je chladná zima, ale ja som pripravená na jar. Etažér je v obývacej izbe, keď sú deti preč z domu. Keď sú doma, je odložený na chodbe, aby bol v bezpečí pred zvedavými rukami.

Naplnila som ho machom a buxusom zo záhrady. Pridala som zopár pierok a nepravé prepeličie vajíčka. V spodnej časti okrem zeleného základu a pierok sú vyfúknuté slepačie vajíčka, sušená levanduľa a drobné konáriky.

I am eagerly waiting for the arrival of spring, cold winter is outside, thus I am prepared for the spring. Tiered tray is in the living room when children are outside the house. When they come home tray is moved in the hallway to be safe from curious hands.

I filled the tray with moss and boxwood from the garden. I added some feathers and faux quail eggs. On the bottom tier except the green base and feathers there are blown hen eggs, dried lavender and small twigs.

Najviac ma baví, že etažéč má krásny vtáčikový lem, ktorý sa teraz veľmi hodí.

I enjoy it, the tray has beautiful birdy hem, which fits nicely.

Budúci týždeň začínam pracovať na príspevku do časopisu "Inspiruj se", tak žhavím mozgové závity. Ďalšie číslo bude plné jarnej inšpirácie.

I am going to work on a contribution to the magazine "Inspiruj se" next week, so I have to do some brainstorming. The next issue will be full of spring inspiration.

Vetvičky a pierka / Twigs and Feathers

Aby sme Vám niektorým nezávideli, tak sme si tiež dali druhé chrípkové kolo (od utorka je Lenka s horúčkou). Vonku zas a znova sneží (kto by mal záujem o trochu snehu, darujem za odvoz). Ale už to beriem s úsmevom, občas zasvieti na nas aj slnko.

Not to envy you, we also took the second round of flu ( my little girl had a fever from Tuesday). It is snowing again and agian (so who would be interested in some portion of snow, I donate for free, you only should carry it away). I'll take this weather with a smile on a face, sometime the sun shines on me.

Opäť som tu s jarným tvorením. Dnes som pripravila "operené" vetvičky. 

I am here again with some Spring crafting. I prepared "feathered" twigs today.

Cestou z práce, z obchodu alebo z prechádzky si nazbierajte zopár vetvičiek (lepšie teraz v zime, keď príroda ešte spí). Ďalej budete potrebovať pierka a niť. Farba pierok je na Vás, biele, ružové, zlaté, tyrkysové, výber je bez limitov. Pierko som priložila ku konáriku a omotala bielou niťou, uviazala. Nelepila som ich. Po skončení sviatkov ich iba odmotám a pierka môžem použiť aj nabudúce.

Collect some twigs on a way home from work, to the store or from a walk (better now in the winter, when nature still asleep). You will also need feathers and thread. Color of feathers is up to you, white, pink, gold, turquoise, the choice is without limits. I have put a feather to the twigs and tie it with white thread. I do not glue them. When the Easter pass by I just unwind the feathers I use them again.

Vetvičky som neupravovala, nechala som ich vyschnúť, aby po vložení do vázy nezačali pučať. Viem, že nie každý je fanúšik rustikálnych dekorácií a preto mám alternatívu. Stačí vetvičky nastriekať obľúbenou farbou podľa Vášho výberu (napríklad zlatým alebo čiernym sprejom, teraz sú celkom v kurze) a potom pridať farebné pierka.

I did not make anything with the twigs, I left them to dry, not to sprout after I put them into vases. I know that not everyone is a fan of rustic scenery and therefore I have an alternative. Just spray twigs with your favorite color (gold or black spray paint are now completely in the course) and then add colorful feathers.

Vetvičky s pierkami som dala do vázy spolu s kyticou tulipánov a hortenziami. Pre milovníkov minimalistického dizajnu postačia vetvičky s pierkami a efektná nádoba.

Twigs with feathers I put in a vase with a bouquet of tulips and hydrangeas. Twigs with feathers and fancy jar is enough for lovers of minimalist design.
